Lost friend in Austria: Mika (Michal) Ziajor (possible last name)?
Hi Everyone, I have been trying to look for my lost friend. His name is Michal but everyone calls him Mika and his possible last name is Ziajor. we met in Austria in St Anton am Arlberg in January 2007 and lost contact to him in March 2007 (it was my fault). he used to work in hotel in Langen in 2006/2007. He planned to go to army (assuming in Austria) in Nov/Dec 2007 and come back in Nov/Dec 2008. His mother lives/lived in Vienna and his father lives/lived in California. We used to talk over email and phone. We have stopped talking in March 2007 and now i am looking for him. I have been emailing him but no reply. I don't have his mobile number or any number because i lost my mobile that had his number and i canceled the my number. I have called Vodafone to ask for the bill from January 2007 but they said since the account is closed they deleted all the details. I have been trying to figure out what hotel he worked in but I dont rember the name and the hotels i have found in Langen don't look like the one he worked in. I have done people searches in the internet and noone in Austria has last name Ziajor.I have done a reverse email search and they do not give me any details. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont know what to do. Im writing emails to him on daily basis (feels like im writing a blog). Also Maybe someone knows, seen him or anything I will be happy. Thanks. He is on my profile photos.

I answered this question for you but am wondering where the answer went. Sorry, not going to answer it again.

Wow, this is the most real-life stalkerish question I've ever seen. Maybe he's hiding from your crazy @ss?
3 :
I have to agree this does sound rather like you are stalking - although part of me feels sorry for your situation. I'm afraid if this guy doesn't want to be found (and you don't say why you broke off talking?), there's not a lot you can do about it. Just move on. On the other hand, if there's a more serious reason why you need to contact him, why not either go back over there and see if you can locate him, or hire a PI and see if they can turn him up. But as I say, he may not want to be found!!! So you'll have to respect his privacy.

Question about Taxes Living Abroad

Question about Taxes Living Abroad?
When you live abroad (say I'm a US citizen who is going to move to and work in Germany or Austria) how do you pay taxes? Do you get taxes from the US and Germany? Just the US? how does all of that work?

You pay taxes to the country you are resident in. There are complex extra rules for the wealthy and people doing split years but generally you pay taxes to the country you live and work in.
2 :
You will pay taxes to Germany because you are working there. You will ALSO pay taxes to the US because the US taxes you on worldwide income, regardless of where you are living. (This is unique to the USA.) Read IRS publication 54. If you meet the 330 day test, you can exclude some or all of the income from Germany on the US return. If yiou don't meet the test, there is a publication 514 for what to do with the foreign taxes paid.

Can a Yahoo! e-mail in the US send emails to a Hotmail email address in Austria??
My foreign extrange student left 5 days ago to go back to Austria and I sent her an email the day she left. I have a yahoo email address and she has a hotmail email address. I never got notified that the email didn't go through so I'm pretty sure that it sent... any ideas???

All email addresses can send mails to all other email addresses, regardless of the email provider. If you haven't heard back from your friend, it is just that she hasn't written yet.
2 :
Yes
3 :
Yes it should work. You probably got the wrong address or something is wrong with either her or your email.
4 :
As stated above, all email programs can send to any other one anywhere. If you have not gotten a reply, she either has not written or is having trouble finding a computer to check her email, or doesn't know how....
5 :
Yes you can send E-mail to anyone any place with a lagitamate E-mail address and account, Check in options and add her E-mail address to your allowed list and have her do the same. Also make sure you both have the correct E-mail address for each other. You can also go to Yahoo E-mail support and ask or check. Hope this helps.
