Why is Austria so civilized
Why is Austria so civilized?
There is very little crime, everything works properly, people obey the traffic laws, children are pleasant and respectful, it's almost unreal. I don't think it's religion, because while Austria is more religious than the UK it is less so than the US. Yet going to either of those countries after visiting Austria is like a visit to the zoo. All that sensuality, aggression, body-pride and body-shame... I don' t think it's because it's so small (as in "small is beautiful") because Ireland is also small, yet Ireland is more like the UK and the US. Is it because Austrians are not allowed to beat their children, so you don't get that culture of violence? Or because the schools are better? Or because of the social safety net? Or are there ethnic reasons? Or because "high culture" is more prevalent than "mass culture" in Austria.? Or because the default value is order (rather than freedom in the Anglo-Saxon countries)? A lot of this could also be applied to Scandanavia as well.

The Scandinavian countries are also not so bad place :) Well I don't live there but I have heard a lot of things. And Austria....it's just very educated and civilized country! :)

How can I text/phone people in Europe from the US
How can I text/phone people in Europe from the US?
I've tried with several people. It just doesn't work. They don't recieve the texts. I'm trying to text someone in Austria and I know the code is +43 ... I also tried 00143+hisnumber. Doesn't work. I live in the US. I have Verizon.

try to call costumer service and ask them what area code to dial and how to text people from europe i called costumer service and helps allot

You will need the exact code. You input their exact number as if you was going to call them. It should work unless you do not have the privilege to text outside the US. It may also take some time for them to receive the text message. Remember Austria has a difference time zone so it might be early or late morning.. If they don't reply they can be busy or sleeping. DON'T FORGET YOU GET CHARGED EXTRA FOR TEXTING TO ANOTHER COUNTRY, UNLIMITED OR A TEXTING PLAN DOES NOT COUNT TOWARDS IT...

Its 011 plus country code or + and the country code. Leave out any zeros at the beginning of the number such as 011430789 would be incorrect it would be 01143789 would be the correct way. Or Verizon doesn't support international texting to their specific mobile carrier in Austria.

How can i get my Ds to connect to Wi-Fi
How can i get my Ds to connect to Wi-Fi?
I am in Vienna Austria with my American Ds Lite. Our router is a Netgear WGR614 v7, which nintendo's site says should work. I have already disabled the SPI firewall and set the chanel to 11 as advised by nintendo's support. I am still unable to connect my Ds. Every time i search for an access point an error message pops up saying "The access point's security settings are not supported by the Nintendo DS." Any help would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks
