If I become certified to teach in Alaska, how difficult would it be to get work elsewhere in the US

If I become certified to teach in Alaska, how difficult would it be to get work elsewhere in the US?
I've lived in IL all my life and have always wanted to see other places. I'm attending my first year at a jc this fall, and I've just started looking for places I'd like to finish my schooling. Since I have no particular college in mind, I thought, hey, why don't I go somewhere interesting? I've been interested in seeing Alaska for a few years now. I started looking at colleges there. But I don't know how it would work when I got home (IL) and tried to find a job. Would going to Alaska create a lot of problems for me, what would I have to do so I could teach in IL/anywhere if I did go to Alaska? P.S. In case anyone suggests I do a study abroad program at a college in my state, I'm already planning a trip through my jc to Austria. I've been saving since middle school, and I don't think I'd be able to pay for two abroads.

Most states practice something called reciprocity, which makes it easier to get a job in another state. For example, when I became licensed to teach in the District of Columbia, I became eligible for reciprocity in 30 different states. It helped that American University's education program was nationally certified, though Hawaii only required that my program be regionally certified. When I moved to Hawaii, I did have to take an extra Praxis exam that was not required in DC. Ironically, I had to take one of my Praxis exams again. Although I'd beat the cutoff score for Hawaii by about 12 points, I'd missed the DC cutoff by one point, and I had to be licensed in DC before I could be licensed in Hawaii.

You can find these answers with a quick Google search. For example "Balkan Peninsula 1900" yields ... http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/ht/11/eusb/ht11eusb.htm which should help answer your first question.

I need some advise on where would be better to move, live, work and raise my son

I need some advise on where would be better to move, live, work and raise my son!?
I am planning to move to Europe next year, and I'm debating which country should I choose. I'm looking into Austria, Denmark, Switzerland and maybe the Netherlands, but can't decide which one would be the best as far as work, education, social welfare etc. My country of origin is also a part of the European Union (if that matters), and I am a Bachelor of Business Administration. Have been working for the Hilton hotels for about 7 years, so I thought it should't be that hard to get a job at a Hilton property in any of those countries. My problem is that I speak only English language, so that's why I need to find a country where English is widely used, (I know that eventualy I'll have to learn the local language). Any advises on that please would be great! Thank You

i say your best bets are Denmark and Switzerland. i have had friends live in both and give me good reports on both the economic situation and the use of English. i don't want to rule out your other choices i am simply speaking from my own experience. good luck :)

Moving to Germany/Austria. Advice

Moving to Germany/Austria. Advice.?
I am 21 and have a year left in my university degree. I am English. Basically, i have been learning German about 4 hours a day for the last three months and am going to continue doing this until i finish university next June. I am looking into moving to Germany when i finish to live and work. I will hopefully have a foundation of the German language by that point. Will that be enough to make a life over there? What sort of jobs can i go for? My degree is in Law but i would be happy doing most things.

1. if you are able to understand German television, you will be able to communicate in German too. There are plenty of free to air channels on ASTRA 19.2° East. 2. It is easy to find jobs anywhere in Germany, except for some regions in East Germany. Employers will not so much fancy your German language skills or you law degree but the fact that you are a native English speaker. It usually starts with a 6 month apprenticeship (paid or unpaid). If you want to stay in law, a good idea could be Munich because of the European Patent Office, Hamburg because of the International Sea Court , Vienna because of the UN or Frankfurt because of the finance sector. 3 Ultimately you should consider attending an International Business School in Germany. They teach in English. 4. If you just want to learn German, go to Berlin because that's where everybody is going. Good luck!
