How to work in Europe w/ Dual Citizenship

How to work in Europe w/ Dual Citizenship!?
I'm thinking about planning a very long trip to Europe, spending at least 2 weeks in some or all of the following countries: France Austria Germany Netherlands + maybe Italy I have dual citizenship so I have an EU passport as well as a US one. How easy or difficult is it to find temporary work in these countries? By work, I mean simple stuff like retail (for the English-speaking countries), teaching English, and general hospitality service. I'm looking for answers from people with travel experience! I'm also going on relatives' memories that there used to be ways to get temporary employment, such as housesitting, working with college programs in foreign countries (my alma mater, for example), elderly care...etc. I know this is outdated information, so I'm asking: is there any kind of network NOW for this kind of thing, or is it purely a thing of the past?

I think it is extremely unrealistic to think you can get a job in a place you are only going to spend a few weeks in. Why would an employer do that? there are 1000's of unemployed Europeans who are not going to leave so quickly after being hired.

In several or even all of these countries you are allowed to work if you have an EU passport but do need to register. I know that in the Netherlands it takes about 6 weeks for your tax number to be send to you, and you can only apply for it when you have an official address in the country. That makes it impossible to do some casual work while traveling around. Besides, with the current high unemployment numbers all casual jobs are filled by local people desperate to get some money besides or instead of the dole, which in most countries is not much or will not pay young people who just left school. There is not really a lack of English speakers all over Europe, but you might be able to get some casual (read illegal but not acted against) work as teacher in some of the countries. Work in hospitality is more likely, but most places prefer to hire someone for a whole season, not just for a few days. And with the amount of people who have all paperwork sorted, or are local, you will have to be very lucky if you can get a bit of work. Fruit picking, by its short seasons, might be a better choice, but again, places are checked for hiring only legal workers.

Well you are allowed to work (if you have an EU passport) in all this countries without restrictions. So more or less (less because if you don´t speak the language...) you have the same chance to get a job like every citizen of this country. As said there are no restrictions, if you are "qualified" enought you will get it if not then not.

Austria, 1938: NATIONALIZED MEDIA, HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION, BANKS...don't you get it? Obama copycatted HITLER

Austria, 1938: NATIONALIZED MEDIA, HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION, BANKS...don't you get it? Obama copycatted HITLER?
Then his AMERICORPS is patterned exactly after Hitler Youth...they would tell the youth their parents were old fogies, give them all the sports equipment they wanted, pay them, feed them... Hilter was ELECTED BY 98% OF AUSTRIANS This is a work up towards dictatorship. Obama is an enemy installed in our white house, and his job is to destroy America. Read history, and learn not to repeat it!!

Americorps was founded in 1994. There is no nationalized media, healthcare or education. Bush nationalized any banks that were bailed out. Understand history, don't just read it.

first off that is not happening -- 2nd off is that not what hurt Germany as far as I know --Germany's economics grew faster then any country I know of

I think you need to read and understand history as your rant is totally pathetic and quite frankly laughable if it wasn't so racist and delusional. Comparing Obama with Hitler is like comparing Mother Theresa with Osama Bin Laden.

shut your redneck ass up. take a break from fucking your sister and go outside and get some air.

STFU!!!

How many screen names do you have? I've seen this same thing posted about a dozen times. Useless, unfounded ranting - No question.

How to search your family history

How to search your family history?
I was interested in looking into my family history but wasn't too sure how, I have tried a couple of online pages but none of them really seemed to work. My mum was born in England and my dad was born in Austria. does anyone have a good website that could help me trace back my family history? i want to know things about my oldest relatives- their jobs, where they lived, how many children they had etc.

you can simply go for your family head and he/she will tell you the whole history.

Well...I would start at the library. Most, if not all libraries, have a genealogy section and if they don't have what you need they can help you search for the information through other libraries. They will deliver the books and or records to your local library. Also, if you know of any institutions (school, hospitals, jails, jobs, etc.) that your previous family members were involved in you can try to get in contact with them. Some colleges might have some genealogy section in their library too. I hope this helps!

Research your family history by launching into websites without doing your groundwork first is the reason you are finding it isn't working for you.......start with yourself and work backwards using the records you already have at home and in the homes of your living relations...this website will give you a checklist and information about how to research http://familytimeline.webs.com/recordsin… ...it is free, they are helpful if you get stuck and although UK based everyone researches the same way so it doesn't make any difference...once you have all your groundwork completed you will have a good idea who you are looking for, dates and places and it makes it much easier then to look in records or online in databases.......you will also find you can get back 3-4 generations just from what you already have at home...good luck with your research

Which Straightener? (CHI vs HAI.) And voltage question.?
Well I can afford both of them with my birthday money and there's only a $10 difference, so I was wondering... which straightener should I get? Chi Ceramic Flat Iron (Original 1" CHI) http://www.folica.com/tools/flat-irons/chi-ceramic-flat-iron-original-one-inch-chi OR.... HAI Convertable Ceramic Flat Iron http://www.folica.com/tools/flat-irons/hai-convertable-ceramic-flat-iron Also, I'll be living in Austria however I'm in America for the summer and they're much cheaper here, so I was wondering what do I need so it works safely in Austria. Well, I use Chi and I LOVE it . It works so good on my hair . European Voltage is different than american, so you might wanna look on the sights and see if you can order for Austria or if they have it especially for European Voltage. Hope this helps. (:
2 :
I know that Chi is a really good product. So I would suggest getting the Chi. My friends have them, I want one, reviews say that they are great. I haven't heard of HAI, so I am not sure about that. I'm more bias about Chi, so I would say get a Chi. ^^

how about getting the GVP at a sally's beauty supply store. it's just like the Chi or any of those expensive straighteners. mine cost $60. and it works amazing! it straighten's out my hair really well. GVP is like the generic version of a chi. http://www.viewpoints.com/images/review/2009/286/14/1255463998-61888_full.jpg

I have a CHI and I love it. It get hot quickly and you can get close enough to the root with it. Be careful where you get yourself though. CHI flatiron are so popular that they bootleg them.

As for the straightener not sure but I bet they both work the same. As for the voltage thing I believe you use 220 over there so you can purchase a adapter that it plugs into and then plugs into the wall and reduces the voltage from 220 to 110.
