The banking industry in Austria is big, and some of the important players are Raiffeisen Zentralbank, BAWAG, Sparkasse. The oil company of Austria OMV is also big and present in many market of Central and Eastern Europe. This is also the case with the national carrier, Austrian Airlines (which is now owned by German Lufthansa).
